VISION OF THE CROW

“Look well unto thyself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up…” Marcus Aurelius

This historical novel takes place between Texas and California from 1829-1849, a time when the US was expanding and engaging in culture wars that continue to this day.  The lead characters of ‘Vision of the Crow’ hail from a panoply of cultures, ethnicities, and beliefs.  Ultimately, each faces life-altering choices which challenge their beliefs and place them at odds with their own people.  Driven to cross lines, develop new allies and fight new enemies, their lives intertwine with corrupt men bent on their destruction.  Stolen guns and human trafficking lurk behind the scenes of a match race in old San Diego, where the visions of an Apache warrior and a Catholic widow foretell the outcome of this fast-paced conflict.
